Coastal Dynamics Group

We study how physical processes organize circulation, mixing, transport, and connectivity across estuaries and coastal oceans, and how these dynamics shape biological and biogeochemical variability.

We combine observations, numerical modeling, and Lagrangian methods to identify the physical mechanisms underlying these patterns and understand how they operate across scales.

Join the Group

I will join UTMSI in 2027 and am interested in working with students and researchers who are curious about the physics of estuarine and coastal systems.

Potential research directions include coastal circulation and mixing, fronts and transport, estuary–shelf connectivity, and physical–biogeochemical interactions.

If you are interested in joining or collaborating with the group, please get in touch.
